Camfield Drive extension works

Camfield Drive is being extended from Great Eastern Highway to provide access to the new Crown Towers Perth. To increase access and minimise traffic congestion and delays during event days at Perth Stadium, Camfield Drive will be extended further to the Perth Stadium and Stadium Park.

Camfield Drive will extend north from the Crown Towers Perth entry to the southern edge of the Perth Stadium Bus Station (and non-event day parking facility). Other works include:

  • The realignment of the Perth Stadium Bus Station to minimise pedestrian congestion.
  • Construction of an east-west road from Camfield Drive to Victoria Park Drive.
  • Construction of some new shared pedestrian pathways, available on both event and non-event days to access Perth Stadium, Stadium Park and the Swan River Pedestrian Bridge.

Camfield Drive extension and associated pathways

In parallel with the Camfield drive extension works, some new pedestrian pathways will be created through the parklands south of Perth Stadium.

These well-lit pedestrian routes will become an extension of the existing paths in the area. They will reduce the number of event patrons using Victoria Park Drive for pedestrian access to Crown Perth and residential areas through Burswood and Victoria Park.

Construction of these pathways will commence in 2017 and are due to be completed by the end of 2017.
