Access and Inclusion User Group

The Access and Inclusion User Group was specifically created to inform the Stadium Project Team on accessibility matters relating to the Stadium and the surrounding infrastructure on event and non-event days.

To ensure that there was a wide spread of representatives from the disability sector, nominations were accepted from people in organisations that sit within this industry as well as members from the general public with an interest in improving accessibility.

Each of the sessions had a particular focus for discussion, whether it was the Stadium itself, the surrounding Stadium Park or transport. One session also provided the group with an opportunity to tour the Perth Arena as a “lessons learnt” exercise, which enabled the User Group to identify some of the dos and don’ts for a venue.
